Will I need any special tools to fit?
No, all you will need is a screwdriver or spanner to undo your battery terminal connectors to connect the the LB-2W. Instructions are included along with cable ties to secure the LB-2W and lever lock once installed.
How many accessories can I connect?
As long as the maximum output does not exceed 10A you can connect as many as you want. The lever lock has 3 connections but these can be doubled up if more than 3 accessories are required.
As a guide the typical Sat Nav has a current draw of 2A and typical heated grips are rated at 4A
*Be sure to check the output of each accessory.
Can I connect a battery charger?
Yes you can, however it is possible the LB-2W may initially detect the charger voltage and switch accessories on. We recommend turning off your accessories if there is an on/off switch or simply removing the LB-2W fuse to avoid this whist charging the battery.
It is good practice to keep your motorcycle on a trickle charger if you do not intend to use it for more than a couple of weeks. This will maintain the battery condition and extend its life.
Is the LB-2W protected with a fuse?
Yes the LB-2W is supplied with a removable fuse 10A
Will it cause problems with CAN bus?
No it won't interfere or flag any errors with CAN bus. The LB-2W is wired directly to the battery and is, in effect, hidden from the CAN Bus. It has been tested on many makes / models of motorcyle including BMW, Triumph, KTM, Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield etc.. without any issues.
